WHAT IS TEMPEH?
Organic tempeh is a pro-biotic superfood which is an excellent source of protein, calcium, phosphorus, dietary fiber. It is rich in vitamins B1, B2, B9 and isoflavones. It contains no artificial ingredients, is non-GMO, zero sugar, and very low in saturated fats and sodium compared to meat and plant-based meat alternatives. Organic tempeh’s special fermentation process makes its nutrients much easier to digest compared to other soy-based foods. And its low Glycemic Index means it can be used in weight loss and blood glucose management.

About Us
Wiwas Tempeh LLC is a Houston-based, family business established in 2019 to make the amazing tasting and super healthy, organic tempeh. Our founders, Xenia and Yenny, are college friends. After grad school in North Carolina, they gained more than 14 years of experience in process engineering and IT, before deciding to branch out to follow their passion for making the most authentic, tasty, healthy, and sustainable tempeh in America. The company now supplies supermarkets, specialist food outlets, University cafeterias, restaurants and even a prestigious luxury cruise line.

Dr. Xenia Tombokan, (CEO) after 7 years working in process engineering R&D, Xenia co-founded Wiwas Tempeh in 2019. A Graduate of University of Wisconsin, Madison, with doctoral research at University of Raleigh, N. Carolina, Xenia is passionate about tempeh. She has spent many years and hundred of formulations to perfect the nutty flavor, chewy texture and exceptional nutritional content of Wiwas Tempeh.

Lawrence
Process engineer by training, Lawrence has been with Wiwas Tempeh from the start. He brings his extensive industry experience and expertise to the delicate process of making organic tempeh. Lawrence is instrumental in developing the company's Quality Assurance processes to ensure that every bite reaches our customers packed full of natural nutrition and flavor.

A mechanical engineer with many US patents to his name, Yuri is the Wiwas Tempeh technology and numbers guy responsible for process, operational and financial management, as well as production scale-up and investor engagement.
